Who is this dog for?

Our 14 year old daughter

Why do you want a Pembroke?
What isn't there to love? They are cute and flouncy. But more importantly the right size for our teenage daughter. She has tons of energy and is fun size as well (just under 5 foot 2)

Activities planned with Pembroke:
She would love to have an animal to walk around the neighborhood with. My husband and I would feel better about her safety if she had an animal companion. She also has a bit of depression so the cuddles would be the most important. We also like to set up the kiddie pool in our fenced in back yard for the dog in the summer. We play lots of fetch as well.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
Time out in the crate or a spray bottle. We try not to yell.

Discipline:
We use a spray bottle. Our lab took to it since he saw how the cats are disciplined.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Running around the house, yard or neighborhood with our teenager, or myself.
