Why do you want a Pembroke?
 We have 30 years of combined Corgi ownership. The breed has a great, strong personality, is fun-loving and are great cuddlers. Our corgis were good with our various cats over the years and liked to travel with us on our road trips. We’d like to add a corgi to our current pack to allow our teenage kids to experience it more fully than when they were toddlers.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
 Walks in the nature preserve, chasing in the yard, swimming(if he/she likes it). Road trips.

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this: 		Firm vocal correction(with leash correction if on leash). Must be consistent and correction timed near mistake for corgi to understand. Corgis are intensely bright. Corrections need not be intense, but occasionally frequent due to breed’s strong willed nature.

Discipline:
 Prefer positive reinforcement(praise/treats) to discipline. However, when necessary applied as described in previous question.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
 Home with work from home wife and kids before & after school. 2 walk per day and frequent supervised yard outings.

 Both on leash and restrained to the yard

 Invisible fence only because terrain precludes physical one. 2 separate zones, front and rear yards. Previous homes all had physical fence. Current dogs and previous corgis all quickly adjusted to invisible fence with proper training.
