Who is this dog for?

Our family, Julie (me), Derek (bf), my son (9).

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have worked for trainers who had this breed and fell in love with their witty, loyal and living personalities. I have researched this breed extensively and although I have never owned one I have an entire childhood and all of my adulthood of experience with working dogs, specifically herding breeds.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
This would be a family dog who would get to go to the barn to help do chores, go on hikes with us, road trips, and play endlessly in our fenced in yard with my son and our other dog.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Beside me, whether I'm in the barn, on the road, or in the house. Otherwise the dog would be in their fenced in yard (the entire yard is theirs), or in the house in a crate.

Where would dog eat?
On the dog feeding mat in our house.

Where would dog sleep:
Depending on the age of the dog, rhe end goal regardless would be for the dog to sleep on a dog bed in one of rooms like our other dog does. However, younger or unhousebroken dogs would be crate trained until they could be trusted to sleep in our room.

Play & exercise:
We live on a 200 acres plus have our yard completely fenced in. We also love going for nature walks and my son loves to play fetch/tug of war, etc.

How will you exercise your dog?
