Who is this dog for?

Myself and my children.

Why do you want a Pembroke?
I have interacted with Corgis on a basic level, and I have done research. I am interested in them for several reasons, including the fact that they are an intelligent herding breed, but because of their short legs do not require consistent strenuous exercise. I don't prefer small dogs, but we live in an apartment making a corgi's small stature ideal, without being a true "small dog." I also find them beautiful and as an Anglophile, I appreciate their association with the Royal Family.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
While not a high-activity family, we do walk often. I have a teenager and a ten-year-old, both of whom enjoy walking, as do I. We make frequent trips to parks. We also have a dog park with agility rings in our apartment complex that we would be taking our dog to play with.
