Who is this dog for?

He would be my new addition!

Why do you want a Pembroke?
This breed caught my eye because of the size and color. I did some research on the breed, but have never had the pleasure of owning my own! I know they are fairly active and it would be nice for my other dog to have a companion in life minus myself!

Activities planned with Pembroke:
I take my dog on two walks minimum a day, along with going to the dog park, our lake house and hikes regularly! Fairly active!

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
I've always been into positive reprimanding, meaning I bring my dog to what he did wrong (chewing up a receipt for example), ask them what they did in a different, not happy, tone, and tell them no. I then tell him to go to his cage and he walks over and he gets put in "time out" for ten minutes. I've never hit or physically inflicted pain on my dog. I don't believe that works or harsh yelling. I want my animal to trust me, but know they messed up as well.

Discipline:
I change my tone and use a cage. My current dog uses his cage as a "safe place" so he immediately goes there when he knows he did something wrong.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
i have an apartment where he would have two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen for him to roam around!
