Who is this dog for?

Us

Why do you want a Pembroke?
We love the size and personality of the corgi. We live in town and have a large yard but don’t want a large dog. We love how friendly and devoted they are too. We had a lovely fellow named Myles in our family. Everyone loved him and he loved everyone too.

Activities planned with Pembroke:
We walk on a leash three times each day, play with him with toys and generally enjoy everything about him.

Aware that Pembrokes are busy, noisy dogs?
Yes

Do you have a veterinarian?

Yes

Vet contact info:
{If yes, please provide contact information including the vet’s name, clinic name, street address, city, state, zip, and phone. Also include the website if there is one.:52}

Will handle mistakes Pembroke makes like this:
We use one word commands in a firm but calm voice at the time the mistake happens. If we don’t actually catch the mistake as it happens we have to just move on because he/she won’t understand why they’re being disciplined. We don’t crate them for punishment.

Discipline:
Positive reinforcement for good behavior and for bad behavior try to stop him/her in the act and use commands.

Where would Pembroke spend the majority of the time:
Indoors anywhere on the ground floor. We have a ranch house with a basement so we keep the basement door closed. Our other corgi did not like going on the stairs.d
